Yoshimura was born in 1981 in Karatsu on the Japanese island of Kyushu.
After graduating in Industrial Design, he began to work for an advertising design agency.
It was while he gained experience in graphic design advertising that he launched his career as a painter. Jimmy Yoshimura is particularly talented in the representation of female characters from different eras, mixing old traditions with today’s excesses to great effect. His seductive and disturbing pieces are mostly a reflection of contemporary society, resulting in a bittersweet portrait of the Western world.
In his creative process of work , he first sets the composition from photographies with ancestral scenes and Harajuku girls of today, then he paint the composition on canvas .
Yoshimura exhibited numerous times in Europe and Japan.
