The group which composes up 3A-K consists of 3 Russian-born artists : Anastasia Kaplan (1973), Aleksandr Kaplan (1978) & Andrei Kaplan (1983). They are 2 brothers and a sister. They are all graduated from Art University. They work together since 2003. They live and work between Tel Aviv and Moscow. They are all polyvalent artists using oil on canvas, digital supports and video. The 3A-K works are influenced by traditional russian culture, mixing symbols of past soviet era with today's excess of consuming society. 3A-K paints the traditional and powerful stereotyped characters of soviets union confronted with the new lifestyle of the Russian youth. |
